The American Biostasis Foundation is a research foundation dedicated to basic, translational, and applied research in biostasis, cryobiology, and biopreservation.
The Foundation is steered by a board of experts with strong intrinsic motivation and backgrounds in business, science, medicine, and technology.
Beyond funding and conducting research, the Foundation is building the first purpose-built cryopreservation research lab and long-term storage facility in the United States. It is designed to be among the most advanced facilities globally, with in-house operations rooms, laboratories, and an imaging facility.

Dr. Emil Kendziorra
Founder & CEO, Tomorrow Bio · Chairman of the Board, EBF
Physician and entrepreneur who built Tomorrow Bio and the European Biostasis Foundation after years in translational cancer research. A co-founder of CryoDAO, he helps channel community funding into rigorous cryobiology and the development of ABF's U.S. facility.
Kai Micah Mills
Founder & CEO, Cryopets · Co-founder, CryoDAO & HydraDAO
Thiel Fellow and serial entrepreneur who co-founded CryoDAO and HydraDAO to fund frontier cryopreservation and replacement research. He leads Cryopets and oversees facility operations as ABF's purpose-built facility in Oregon moves toward construction.
Austin T. Lynch
Co-founder, HydraDAO · Head of Operations, Cryopets
Co-founded HydraDAO and serves as an awareness steward at CryoDAO, connecting replacement and cryopreservation research with the communities that fund them. As Head of Operations at Cryopets, he will be on-site at ABF for patient care.
Fernando Pinheiro
Co-founder & COO, Tomorrow Bio
Engineer and operator who co-founded Tomorrow Bio after scaling startups across five countries, including a successful marketplace exit. As COO he builds the logistics, teams, and systems behind field cryoprotection and patient transport at scale.
